Reinstall/Uninstall instructions

As a regular GED Online user, you will probably receive new versions of the program from time to time. You need to uninstall the old program BEFORE you install a new version. Follow these steps:

1. From Settings/Control Panel, select Add/Remove Programs.
2. Browse to find MHC Interactive: GED Integrated Online Solution. Click to select it, and then click the Change/Remove button.
3. In the next screen, click on Remove, the bottom radio button.
4. Wait while the program is deleted.

Install new version of the program:

5. Insert the new program CD into your CD drive.
6. Navigate to My Computer
7. Open your CD drive icon.
8. Double click the file named Install.exe.
9. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the new program.
10. On some operating systems, such as Windows Me!, you should reboot your pc once the install has completed successfully.

4. Double click the file named Install.exe.
5. You will be prompted to remove the older version if you have not already done so.
6. Select Remove from the Remove Programs dialogue box.
7. Follow the on-screen prompts.

Install new version of the program:

8. When the old program is deleted, relaunch the installer by double clicking the Install.exe file on the new CD.
9. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the new program.

1. From the Start Menu/Programs, select MHC Interactive: GED Online.
2. Log on to the Web Site.
3. Click Launch Program. Wait while the program gathers your personal data. The amount of time depends on your Internet connection speed.
4. Once the program launches, the Web browser and your connection will be closed (if you are a dial-up user). You will need to reconnect when you exit the program.
