The Research

The complete portfolio of research includes The Research Base White Papers and The Results and Validations Studies.

The Research Base

White Papers
A white paper frames the product in existing scientifically-based research. A white paper may include research supporting the rationale of including specific content in the product (e.g., matching state standards) as evidence of the efficacy of specific instructional design features.

  • "Content Literacy: Ensuring Students Access the Text and Build their Reading, Writing, and Thinking Skills"
  • "Differentiating Instruction in Responsive Middle and High School Classrooms"
  • "Integrating Content Areas with English Language Development for English Language Learners"
  • "Standards-Based Instruction: A Focused Approach to Teaching and Learning"
  • "The Role of Assessment"
  • Research-Based Strategies Used to Develop Glencoe Texas Mathematics for Grades 6-12
  • Research-Based Strategies Used to Develop IMPACT Mathematics

The Results and Validation

Program Efficacy Study
In this type of study, an intervention is administered to all students participating in the study. Results between the experimental group and the control group are then compared. The gain from pre-test to post-test provides evidence of the product's (the intervention's) effectiveness.
