GLENCOE/McGRAW-HILL ANNOUNCES JAMESTOWN EDUCATION CLASSROOM GIVEAWAY
NEW YORK (September 4, 2007)
– Why do your students need a strong reading intervention program?
If your school or district has a compelling answer to that
question, you may win a free semester of Jamestown

in a Glencoe/McGraw-Hill contest announced today. The online
contest runs through Oct. 31.
Six contest winners will be announced Nov. 15, according to
Christopher Barry, marketing manager for Jamestown Education.
In addition to a free semester of Jamestown
Reading Navigator™, winners
of the contest will be able to select $5,000 worth of materials
from Jamestown Education’s supplemental print library.
Jamestown Reading Navigator™ is
a complete reading intervention curriculum with explicit reading
skill instruction for middle school and high school students
reading two or more years below grade level. It includes online
and print resources based on the latest research in adolescent
literacy, documented classroom success and teacher input. The
online component of Jamestown Reading
Navigator™ incorporates
multimedia animation and audio support. To increase reading
fluency, students can even record themselves reading and submit
their best recording to the teacher. The program includes print-based
materials that integrate high-interest content and leveled
selections that are thematically connected to the online program
and include exclusive reading selections from TIME magazine.
The program is receiving strong endorsements from educators
