Chapter 17: Conducting the Job Search
Chapter Summary
The employment process begins with an assessment of your qualifications-a self-appraisal inventory that serves as the basis for preparing your résumé. The job search cannot begin until you find out where you want to go in terms of a job and a career.
In earlier chapters, you developed the ability to persuade. You will continue to use the persuasive approach in Chapter 17 while learning to market yourself in a way that persuades an employer to hire you.
The online resources for Chapter 17 will reinforce and enhance your study of the chapter content. Begin by choosing one of the chapter links below.
