    Glencoe Law & Ethics for Medical Careers, Third Edition is a text-workbook that provides an overview of the complex legal, moral, and ethical issues relevant to medical careers. Students in all health-related courses must acquire a working knowledge of these issues. This text guides students through the major legal and ethical questions that may arise on the job.

    The third edition includes a new chapter on the beginning of life, and coverage in the areas of emancipated minors, confidentiality, managed care, and the contractual relationship between patients and physicians. Bioethical coverage includes organ transplants, fetal research, living wills, in vitro fertilization, right to die, genetic engineering, AIDS testing, and abortion.
