    Health Care Science Technology: Career Foundations is a new text written specifically to address the National Health Care Skills Standards. It provides a firm foundation for the skills needed for health-related careers, such as teamwork and communications, and for specific jobs within career clusters, such as medical assisting or pharmacy technician.

    • PREVENTIVE CARE AND WELLNESS features emphasize the importance of the health care worker maintaining a healthy life style.
    • Each section within the chapters ends with a section review and MINI LAB to check students’ understanding of chapter material.
    • End-of-chapter REVIEW AND ACTIVITIES sections include SUMMARY, REVIEW QUESTIONS, CRITICAL THINKING CASE STUDIES, LAB ACTIVITIES, and INTERNET ACTIVITIES.
    • An extensive glossary of terms and an index are included.
    Lab Activity Manual provides questions for chapter review, activities for student practice of procedures, and evaluation forms for the completion of procedures covered in the text. Additional Career Skills procedures (not covered in the text) and evaluation forms are provided.

    Student Tutorial CD-ROM contains a student tutorial program consisting of chapter-by-chapter PowerPoint presentations and a self-grading multiple-choice review program. Review questions provide hints for missed questions.

    Teacher Components

    UNIQUE TO GLENCOE! Teacher Annotated Edition includes teaching/activity annotations, identifies when to use each program component, and contains answers to section quizzes. It also includes Course Scope & Sequence and listing of the National Health Care Skill Standards. The TAE also includes a CD-ROM containing the Additional Career Skills procedures that are in the Lab Activity Manual.

    UNIQUE TO GLENCOE! Lab Activity Manual Teacher Edition provides answers for review questions and criteria for evaluation of student completion of the procedures.

    Teacher Resource Guide provides an explanation of the program and how to use the TRG. Career Opportunities summarize career foundations, opportunities, and requirements for each cluster. General teaching suggestions include Course Scope and Sequence, correlation to National Health Care Skills Standards, additional teaching resources, chapter lesson plans, answers to end-of-chapter activities, chapter tests, and instructions for using program CD-ROMs. In addition, the TRG contains an Effective Instruction CD-ROM.

    Effective Instruction CD-ROM includes lesson plans, correlation to the National Health Care Skill Standards, PowerPoint® presentations that highlight the main points of each chapter and reinforce terminology, and ExamView® Pro test generator.
