  • Product Description

Automotive Excellence is an Automotive Technicians text designed to address both the technical and applied academic standards as defined by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF), the organization that oversees ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification. Automotive Excellence will focus students' education and training on the necessary technical skills and correlated communications, mathematics and science knowledge needed to pass the ASE Certification tests.

    Features:

    Test Bank Updates

    • Each volume is divided into 5 self-contained, easy-to-use, color-coded parts: The Automotive Technician's Handbook, found at the beginning of the student edition, and each automotive system, color-coded with its own page numbering system. For example, the Brakes section is color-coded blue with page numeration BR (ASE code for brakes) pages 1-117.
    • Mathematics, Science and Communications applications are woven throughout the lessons of the program in red boxes as well as in the Academic Applications workbook. These automotive-related applications are particularly important because academic NATEF Standards are addressed in ASE Certification tests.
    • Automotive Excellence emphasizes safety. Besides the Automotive Safety Practices section in the Automotive Technician's Handbook, the "Safety First" feature appears throughout the text in the side margin in yellow and black. Safety is also addressed in the "Safety First Practices" section of the Instructor's Resource Binder, where the safety job sheets are included.
