Distance Education: WebCT®,
Blackboard®, and PageOut®
Glencoe Distance Education courses are designed to run on WebCT, Blackboard, and PageOut course management systems. If your institution has not adopted one
of these systems, contact your Regional
Office to discuss which choice is best for you.
WebCT®
Office 2002: A Professional Approach, Core will be available on WebCT in
July 2002. Follow the directions below if you are interested in registering for
a 30-day evaluation or adopting the complete course.
- Go to the WebCT
Content Showcase.
- To find all of the Glencoe published courses, select Glencoe from the Publisher
drop-down list-box. You can also search by title, author, discipline, or keyword.
- A search results page will appear which shows all e-Packs matching your criteria.
From this screen click on "Adopt Now" or "30-Day Evaluation."

You will see a listing of courses for which demonstrations are available.

PageOut®
Instructors just beginning to explore online learning environments will want to
try PageOut, a simple but powerful tool for creating course Web pages. It's free
with the adoption of any McGraw-Hill textbook and the purchase of Glencoe software
application and concepts products.
Features:
- Publishing options allow you to create Home, Syllabus, Lecture Notes, Bookmarks,
Instructor, and Assignment pages.
- Style options allow you to choose from a list of page styles
that give your pages a professional look.
- Syllabus page enables you to provide links to your original
material, Web site addresses, and Glencoe online content.
- Customize your own quizzes.
- Gradebook automatically records scores and shows when each student completed
tests and exercises.
