General Motors Corporate Giving Program
Often funds postsecondary projects. Amounts vary.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Grants are awarded for a variety of educational purposes. Amounts vary greatly.

The Educational Foundation of America
Offers grants of varying amounts for a variety of purposes, including postsecondary education. (Summaries of awards are not updated on the Web site past 1999, but the Web site is active.)

The Ford Foundation
Contains a comprehensive database of grants for higher education.

The United States Institute of Peace
Offers a variety of grants for postsecondary institutions and also offers financial support for dissertation research. Postsecondary instructors and institutions may apply for grants ranging from $25,000 to $45,000. Sometimes, higher amounts are awarded.

W.K. Kellogg Foundation
Offers a wide range of grants for postsecondary instructors and others.
