Introduction
Throughout American history there have been several controversies related to presidential elections. As we learned during the 2000 Presidential Election, winning the popular vote does not always guarantee a candidate the presidency.

  • Choose any election year to compare and contrast to the 2000 Presidential Election.

Use what you have learned to answer the following questions.

1.  How does the election you chose compare to the presidential election of 2000?

3.  Do you think the outcome was fair in the 2000 election? In the election you chose to compare/contrast?


4.  In the election you chose to compare/contrast the presidential election of 2000, did the winning candidate receive the most popular votes?
