Production Artist

Description of Responsibilities
Production artists are responsible for executing the plans created by graphic designers. They take design files and place them into design templates using computer software programs. Production artists also maintain documentations, produce graphics, implement designs, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the projects they manage. Production artists must have good design skills and layout sense. They work closely with art directors and graphic designers.

Education, Training, and Professional Qualifications
The minimum qualifications include work experience in production and in the professional workforce. Academic courses in art and knowledge of relevant computer software are also helpful.

Other Considerations
Production artists must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines. They must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
