The Small Business Administration offers a great deal of information at their Web site, www.sba.gov. This site includes a list of publications at the Online Library at www.sba.gov/library/. A business plan outline, a tutorial, as well as a Small Business Startup Kit are available at Starting Your Business at www.sba.gov/starting/.

At www.discoverbusiness.com students can find the Discover Business! Web site and game to learn about starting their own businesses. Students can see their business’s actual performance and projections based on their business plan decisions. Teachers can find curriculum guides designed to augment a semester course in entrepreneurship or small business ownership. Each lesson has a different goal and includes a teaching guide/topic outline, black-line print masters for overheads, activities, answer keys, and work sheets.

www.jumpstartcoalition.org The Jumpstart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy seeks to improve the personal financial literacy of young adults. Its purpose is to evaluate the financial literacy of young adults; develop, disseminate, and encourage the use of guidelines for grades K-12; and promote the teaching of personal finance. www.ncfe.org is the Web site for the National Center for Financial Education. It is a consumer-oriented, nonprofit, public education organization that offers articles and worksheets on topics, such as spending perception and creating a spending plan.
