Sound
Money is a radio program broadcast by Minnesota Public
Radio on most public radio stations. It addresses topics,
such as economics, investing, tax planning, and finding a
financial planner. The host and his guests answer listener
questions. Tapes of the programs may be ordered from their
Web site at www.money.mpr.org.
Also at their Web site are program listings and host Chris
Farrell’s list of favorite books, periodicals, and Web sites
on personal finance.
www.ncfe.org
is the Web site for the National Center for Financial Education.
It is a consumer-oriented, nonprofit, public education organization
that offers articles and worksheets on topics, such as spending
perception and creating a spending plan.
Standard
& Poor’s has a number of different Web sites for different
kinds of financial information. Investment recommendations
are featured at www.personalwealth.com,
a comprehensive Internet-based personal investment site.
Investment
planning information can also be found at www.quicken.com
and www.moneycentral.msn.com.
The
Wall Street Journal offers a classroom program including
a monthly newspaper, teaching guide, and video. It is available
