Severe Weather
In addition to differences in temperature, many parts of the country and the world suffer from severe weather. We often read about flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters. How do people cope during such terrible weather? Would you know what to do if a natural disaster happened where you live? The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) provides some guidelines for us. Read the "Severe Weather Safety Guide" to get general advice on staying safe during tornadoes, flash floods, lightning, and winter storms and blizzards, hurricanes and other severe weather.
