Hands-On-Health
When the first space probes were launched several decades ago, observers back on earth were astonished to learn that the crews were able to spot the Great Wall of China from space! To be sure, we humans have left our mark on the planet in the great cities and architectural wonders we have built. Unfortunately, the legacy of modern technology has a dark side. This can be seen in acid rain, smog-choked air, contaminated water, and other global ills stemming from waste and pollution. Although efforts have been made worldwide to reverse these conditions, a lot of work remains to be done if we are to rescue our planetary home for future generations.
