Hands-On-Health
If you were asked to guess the leading cause
of death among people in this country between the ages of 15 and 20,
what would you say? If your answer was "traffic accidents,"
you would be right. Close to 6,300 teens and young adults died last
year while driving or riding in a car. Another 1,000 teens were killed
in accidents involving bicycles, skateboards, and other non-motor vehicles.
Such accidents are a tragedy that becomes that much greater when you
consider that virtually all of these deaths are preventable.
