What Do You Know About Fitness?

Hands-On-Health

Do you think of yourself as physically fit? Before you answer that question, you may want to think about what the term physical fitness really means. Some people may think that being physically fit means having a trim waist or big muscles, but there is much more to total fitness than just your external appearance. What exactly is physical fitness, and what determines when a person is in good shape? You are about to learn the answers to both questions.

Try This: Have you ever taken part in a public opinion survey? Often, such surveys are designed to reveal political views or buying habits of various segments of the population. The survey you are about to take part in has a somewhat different purpose: that of helping you understand personal lifestyle factors that play a role in your ongoing level of fitness. First, click on the button that will print out your worksheet. Then go to the Web site listed below under Health Links, and click yes or no for each statement. Finally, complete the worksheet.
