The
Miracle Worker: Still a Miracle at 40
On
the 40th anniversary of The Miracle
Worker, Richard Ridge spoke with three of
the original stars of the Broadway production:
actors Anne Bancroft, Patty Duke, and Patricia
Neal. Read through their memories here. Star Patty
Duke recalls, "It [the play] is responsible
for every thing good in my life. Not a day goes
by that I don't think of The Miracle Worker."
Would you have expected the play to have had such
an impact on these actors’ lives? Why or why not?
Write your response in the Web
Links Activity Log.

Communication
This
Web site lets you learn the alphabet in finger
spelling and Braille. With a partner, select a
short piece of text. Then, have one partner learn
how to finger spell the text. Have the other partner
write the text out on a poster in Braille. Make
a presentation of your findings to the class.
