  2. The disks might be numbered from top to bottom as 1, 2, and 3. If the object is to move all the disks to another peg, and if you are not allowed to put a larger disk on top of a smaller one, the puzzle is solved in the same way as the domino puzzle.

  3. Using the number-and-letter recording system, the solution is 1c, 2b, 1b, 3c, 1a, 2c, 1c, 4b, 1b, 2a, 1a, 3b, 1c, 2b, 1b.

Solution

The last seven moves in the 4-domino puzzle are very similar to the solution to the 3-domino puzzle. For 5 dominoes, the solution has 31 moves and ends with exactly the same moves as the 3-domino puzzle.
