Frame-Up

A mat is a decorative border that goes all the way around a picture. A mat can be used with or instead of a frame.

Each partner creates a mat by cutting out a figure with an area of 20 square inches from the center of a piece of construction paper. Then each partner creates or finds a picture to place the mat around. Finally, partners share their work. Did you and your partner make your mats the same way?
