That's Quite an Expression |
Copy the expressions listed below onto index cards. Shuffle the cards and lay them face down. Label one of the number cubes as your m-value and the other as your n-value.
Begin by having one group member choose a card from the deck and roll the number cubes. This student then evaluates the expression if m equals the value on the cube labeled m and n equals the value on the cube labeled n. The second group member checks to see if they are right. Continue by having the second group member choose a card, roll the cubes, and evaluate the expression.
Play several rounds.
