Use groups of 2.
Show and Tell

Review the Hands-On Lab on page 238 of your textbook that shows a method for solving two-step equations. In your groups, use any materials from home to represent two-step equations. For example, instead of the cups you might choose to use brown paper bags. Instead of the counters you might choose to use different colored jellybeans. Be creative in selecting materials to use. Try to make your materials different from any other group's materials.

Once you have found your materials, present them to the class. In your presentation, use your materials to solve at least two equations.

After everyone has presented, discuss the presentations. Which materials worked best and why?
