Copy the numbers listed below onto cards, one per card. Shuffle the cards and deal four cards to each player.

The object is to keep the three cards with an estimated sum that is closest to 2000. First, round each number to the nearest hundred. Then determine which three cards have an estimated sum that is closest to 2000. Next, discard one card. The student whose three cards have an estimated sum closest to 2000 wins.

Repeat the game several times changing the target sum of the three cards to numbers between 1,000 and 3,000.
