Materials: 20 index cards, grid paper, markers

Be a Model Student |
Copy each expression below onto cards, one per card. Shuffle the cards and deal four to each group member.
Choose one of your cards and use the grid paper to draw a model of the product. Then write the expression on the back of the model. Repeat this process for each of your cards. When all products have been modeled on grid paper, exchange models with your partner. Try to be the first to write the multiplication problems for all of your partner's models.
Play several rounds.
