Know Your Neighbor |
Every student in the class writes the following information on their index card.
- Birthday
- Height
- Favorite movie
- Number of pets
- Favorite color
The class is then divided into two groups. Within each group, the cards are collected and randomly passed out, one to each student.
The object of the activity is to find the student belonging to your card. You may ask anyone in your group a question, but the questions can have only a yes or no answer. Each person can ask only five questions. You may listen to the questions and answers of other students, but you are limited ot ten minutes to complete the activity. Record the question, answer, and person asked on the back of the index card. At the end of the ten minutes, each student shares his or her guess with the rest of the class as well as any strategy used for finding the matching person.
