Measurements

Use groups of 4 or more.
Materials: Notebook paper, ruler, dictionary
Do the Write Thing

Using his or her normal handwriting, each group member writes each of the words shown below on a separate line of a sheet of notebook paper.

As a group, measure the length of each group member's words. Record the measurements on a separate sheet of paper. Find the meaning of each word in a dictionary. Write a definition in your own words beside the measurements you recorded for that word.
