Global Change

Copy onto cards the names of the following countries and the amounts of their basic units of money that are equal to one U.S. dollar in 1992: India--25.8 rupees; South Korea--762.9 won; Sweeden--5.75 kronor: Chile--362.87 pesos. Shuffle the cards.

Each group member selects a card and tells about how many rupees, won, kronor, or pesos you would have gotten for $275 in 1992.

Then each group member researches the country he or she selected and tells what kinds of products someone from the United States might want to buy there.
