Water Plotters

Place 100 mL of water in a clear container. Then measure the height of the column of water in centimeters. Place two pennies in the container and record the new height of the column of water. Continue in the same manner until you have placed twelve pennies in the container. Draw a line graph on graph paper to show your results for each addition of two pennies. Using your graph, tell about how many pennies you would need to raise the column of water in your container 5 cm. Compare your results with those of other pairs.
