Suppose that your group has raised $100 and that you plan to use the money to buy as many gifts as possible for the homeless.

Each group member looks through newspapers and catalogs to find appropriate gifts. Then each group member compiles a list of gifts to buy, using estimation to ensure that the cost does not exceed $100. Finally, each group member shares his or her list with the group and explains his or her selections.

Combine individual lists to come up with a group list. Compare your list with those of other groups.
