On a large sheet of paper (or several sheets taped together), copy the two lines shown below. Make sure that you can fit a counter on each tick mark. Label the sections of one spinner "1," "2," "3," and "5." This spinner is for the digits in ones place. Label the sections of another spinner with the digits 0-9. This spinner stands for the digits in tenths place.
Each partner places a counter on the first tick mark of one of the side-by-side lines. Decide which partner goes first. In turn, each partner spins both spinners, rounds the resulting decimal to the nearest whole number, and moves his or her counter forward by this number of tick marks. Try to be the first to move your counter past the last tick mark.
