Cover Story |
Suppose that you and your partner have been asked to create a tessellation that will appear on the front cover of your school's arts magazine. There are two requirements: Your design must be based on one of the shapes below, and it must be suitable for a cover that measures 8.5 by 11 inches.
Decide what shape to base your design on and decide on a size for the basic figure. Draw the basic figure on cardboard and then cut it out. Create your design by repeatedly tracing the cardboard figure on a sheet of paper. When you have completely filled the page without overlapping any figures, shade the figures using colored pencils.
