Numbers
and Operations

Number of players: 2
Materials: Large sheet of paper, marker, counters, spinners
Follow the Rules

Using a marker, copy the game board shown below on a large sheet of paper (or several smaller sheets taped together). Make sure that each box is big enough for a counter. Label equal sections of each of four spinners with the digits 0 through 9. Decide which spinner will stand for digits in the thousands place, which spinner will stand for digits in the hundreds place, which spinner will stand for digits in the tens place, and which spinner will stand for digits in the ones place.

Each partner places a counter on the "Start" square. In turn, each partner spins all four spinners and writes the resulting number. Using the divisibility rules, quickly determine if your number is divisible by any of these numbers; 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10. You may move your counter the same number of spaces as any number your number is divisible by.

Continue until both partners have generated five numbers. The partner who has made more laps around the board is the winner.
