May I Take Your Order?

Label the sections of one spinner "+" and "-." Label the sections of another spinner "×" and "÷." Copy onto cards the numbers listed below, shuffle the cards, and place them face down in a pile.

One group member spins the addition/subtraction spinner. Another spins the multiplication/division spinner. The remaining two group members select two cards each from the pile. Working in pairs, use the operations and numbers selected to form the largest possible whole number. (Remember the order of operations!) Compare your results with those of the other pair in your group. Repeat several times, trading roles each time.
