You've Got It Backward |
Copy onto cards the directions shown below, one per card. Shuffle the cards and divide them into two equal piles. Write "1" on the back of each card in one pile and "2" on the back of each card in the other pile. Shade a 4 × 4 area in the center of a sheet of grid paper.
Each partner selects a shaded square. (Don't forget which square you chose!) Each partner then selects one card from each pile. Follow the directions on card 1 for the square you chose and then follow the directions on card 2. (If you cannot move as indicated on a card, return the card to the bottom of the pile and draw again.) Shade the square that the two sets of directions led you to. Trade papers and cards with your partner. Work backward from the directions on the cards to find each other's starting points. The first partner to find the other partner's starting point wins the round. Play several rounds.
