Crazy Eighths

Copy onto index cards the fractions shown below. Shuffle the cards and divide them equally.

In turn, each group member places a card face up. The group member with the greatest fraction takes all four cards. When all of the cards have been played, each player adds all of the fractions on the cards he or she has won, except for the cards containing eighths. The winner is the group member with the greatest total after all of the eighths have been subtracted from the sum of the other fractions in each group member's hand.
