Hole Punch of Fun

On construction paper draw the figures shown below. Then cut the figures out. Label equal sections of a spinner "1," "5," "10," and "20."

Each partner selects a figure and spins the spinner. Each partner then punches out of the figure the number of holes indicated on the spinner. Working together, find the area of each figure that remains. (Hint: The area of each figure is reduced by the area of the circle made by the hole punch each time you punched a hole.) The partner with the greater remaining area wins the round. Trade roles and play again
