Proper Identification |
Suppose that you and your partner have been chosen to create a new system for identifying students at your school. Each student will be assigned an identification number using the system you create.
Anyone looking at the number should be able to tell at a glance what grade the student is in. You can use letters, digits, or a combination of letters and digits. The system should be as simple as possible, but there must be enough identification numbers so that each student can be assigned a different number. (In other words, the sample space must be larger than the enrollment of your school.
Share you work with other pairs.
