It Really Adds Up |
Use the information printed on soft-drink containers and cereal boxes to find the number of fluid ounces of soft drinks and ounces of cereal each group member consumes each week. Multiply each amount by 52 weeks and then find the sum of the four amounts. This is the group's yearly total. Then answer the following questions.
- How many gallons of soft drinks does your group consume in one year?
- How many tons of cereal does your group consume in one year?
Share your findings with other groups.
