Read the following.
A country's literacy rate tells the percent of the country's people who can read. In richer countries, such as the United States and Japan, the literacy rate is more than 90%. In poorer countries, such as Ethiopia or India, the literacy rate is much lower than 50%.
The literacy rates of ten countries are given below. Working in pairs, find the populations of these countries. Try to be the first to list the countries in order from greatest number of people who cannot read to least number of people who cannot read.
