Use groups of 2.
Materials: Cardboard, tracing paper, scissors, colored pencils
Tessellation Creations

Each partner traces onto tracing paper the parallelogram shown below. Then one partner traces the triangle and the other partner traces the rhombus. Both partners cut out the figures they traced and then trace these patterns onto cardboard. Finally, both partners cut out both of their cardboard figures.

Tracing the cardboard figures you made, create a tessellation on a sheet of paper. Shade the figures using colored pencils. Compare your completed design with your partner's.
