|
Copy onto cards the square roots shown below, one per card. Shuffle the cards and divide them evenly. Label equal sections of a spinner "4," "5," "6," "7," "8," "9."
One group member spins the spinner. If possible, each group member then removes from his or her hand one card for which the number on the spinner is the best estimate. Group members must decide whether cards that have been discarded show best whole number estimates. Continue in this way, taking turns at the spinner, until one group member has no cards left.
