As a group, decide on a question to ask the class that requires them to pick their favorite item out of a list of at least 5 things. For example, your questions might be "Which of the following pets do you like the most: dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, or fish?" Write your question down at the top of a sheet of paper. Then allow your group to write their responses below the question and their name in the upper right-hand corner before exchanging papers with another group. Each person in the group then answers the question of the other group. Try to keep your responses to another group's questions neat and orderly. Continue around the room until all students have responded to each group's question. Return each to its group.
Use the data you receive to create a circle graph on poster board. Be sure to title your graph and label each section appropriately with descriptive word and what percent that section is of the entire circle.
Present your graph to the rest of the class. Be prepared to answer questions about your findings.
