Group Activity Cards
Number of players: 4
Materials: Index cards, spinner, grid paper
| Rotation Sensation
Label equal sections of a spinner "I," "II," "III," "IV."
Each group member graphs a triangle in a different quadrant of a different coordinate plane. Then one group member spins the spinner. The spinner indicates the quadrant into which a player can "move" a triangle by rotating it 90° counterclockwise. (For example, if the spinner lands on "I" in the first round, the group member who graphed a triangle in quadrant IV rotates his or her figure 90° counterclockwise. The other players cannot move.)
Continue, taking turns at the spinner, until one group member has graphed a triangle in every quadrant using 90° counterclockwise rotations.
