Materials: Index cards, spinners
Plug It In  

Copy onto cards the expressions shown below. Shuffle the cards and divide them evenly. Label equal sections of one spinner "," "," "," "," "." Label equal sections of a second spinner "," "," "," "." Label equal sections of a third spinner "," "," "," "." Choose the spinner you want to stand for numbers that will replace each variable a, b, and c. Each group member must use a different spinner for each variable.

Each group member spins one of the spinners. One group member then flips over the top card on the pile. Each group member replaces the variables with the numbers on the spinners. The group member with the highest value wins the round. Continue in the same way, taking turns flipping over a card, until no cards remain. The overall winner is the group member who won the most rounds.
