Group Activity Cards

Use groups of 2.
Materials: Compass, straightedge
That's Irrational!

In groups of 2, choose 5 irrational numbers. Graph and label these irrational numbers using a compass and a straightedge. Graph at least one of the numbers incorrectly. Record the steps used to graph the points. Trace your graph and plotted points onto another sheet of paper. Do not trace your construction lines.

Trade your traced graph with another group. Check the graph of the other group to find which point was graphed incorrectly. Show your construction lines. When checking the other group's graph, record the steps that you used to graph each point. Finally, check your solution with the group that you traded with.
