Copy onto cards the expressions shown below, including the circles. Shuffle the cards and place them face down in a pile. Label the sections of a spinner "0," "1," "2," "4," and "5."

In turn, each partner selects a card. Each partner must decide whether to write the value of the expression as shown on the card or to spin the spinner first, replacing all the circled numbers with the number spun. When all of the cards have been selected, each partner finds the sum of the values he or she has written. The partner with the greater sum wins.
