Number of players: 4
Materials: Grid paper, pencil
Hit or Miss

Each group member copies onto grid paper two coordinate planes identical to the one below. Each group member draws a design on one of his or her coordinate planes by shading at least four squares. Each shaded square must share a side with another shaded square.

In turn, three group members try to guess the fourth's design by calling out coordinates of points. Each group of three is allowed a maximum of twenty-five guesses. Try to guess the fourth group member's design from his or her responses—"hit" if the coordinate names a point contained by the design and "miss" if it does not. (Each threesome uses one of the blank coordinate grids to plot "hits" and "misses.")
