Probabilities |
One
group member draws a card telling him or her to use the same or different
bags and draws two pieces of candy from the bag or bags. If one bag is indicated,
the member may either replace the candy after each draw or draw two pieces
without replacement.
The
rest of the group then calculates the probability of the draw. When all
have finished, the answers are compared and discussed. When all members
understand how the correct probability is computed, the cards and bag
are passed to the next member.
