Geometry Can You Find It?

You and a partner are to find and describe (in ten minutes) objects that you can see in or from your classroom that meet the criteria given below. The team identifying the most objects wins.

CRITERIA:

  1. A line segment less than 8 millimeters long.
  2. An obtuse angle formed by line segments less than two
    meters long.
  3. A right angle formed by line segments less than one foot
    long.
  4. An obtuse angle formed by line segments of any length.
  5. Two acute angles formed by line segments.
  6. A right angle formed by line segments over five feet long.
  7. Two pictures of rays.
  8. Three different line segments on the same line segment.
  9. A line segment longer than 8 feet.
  10. A part of a plane that has an area less than 1 square foot.
  11. A part of a plane that has an area between 25 and 50
    square feet.
