MATERIALS: Six dice, nine note
cards with the phrases below

Try These Triangles

Shuffle the cards and place them face down. To begin, one person rolls the six dice, announces the sum of the numbers, and turns over a card. Everyone in the group must then draw a triangle that contains one angle equal to the announced number and satisfies the condition given on the card. Each person should identify the measure of each angle in his or her triangle. Players then check each other's answers for correctness.

The activity continues until everyone has had a chance to roll the dice and turn over a card.
